What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to run the site:
- Enquiry details — name, email, company, budget range and whatever you write in the message field, submitted through the contact form.
- Newsletter details — the email address you give us, plus whether you opened an issue and which links you clicked.
- Usage data — pages viewed, approximate region, referring site, device and browser type. This is aggregated and not used to identify individuals.
- Preferences — your light or dark theme choice, stored in your own browser and never transmitted to us.
Why we use it
To reply to enquiries, to deliver the newsletter you asked for, to understand which articles are worth writing more of, and to keep the site working. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies this site sets
This build is deliberately light on cookies:

Both are stored locally in your browser rather than sent to a server. Clearing site data in your browser removes them.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for twenty-four months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Aggregated usage statistics are kept indefinitely because they contain nothing that identifies you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights: to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict how it is processed, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing. To exercise any of them, email us. We respond within thirty days and will not ask you to justify the request.
If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Third parties
This static build loads no third-party scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising. Every asset — fonts, stylesheets, scripts and images — is served from this domain. If you deploy it with analytics or a form backend attached, update this section accordingly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, tell subscribers by email.
