The questions people ask before signing.
Including the one about who we are not right for, which is the answer clients tell us they found most useful.
Usually two to three weeks from signature. We deliberately keep a gap between signing and starting so the research phase is not rushed — the first fortnight is where the value of the whole engagement gets decided.
Yes. We have offices in Luton and Torrance, and roughly a third of our clients are elsewhere — mostly Europe, Canada and West Africa. Everything runs on written asynchronous updates with a weekly call scheduled in your working hours.
You tell us, and we rewrite it. There is no cap on revisions in any of our plans. We would rather hear structural criticism at draft one than polite approval followed by six weeks of small changes.
For most work, yes — and we will ask for a specific number of hours per month and get it agreed in writing before starting. Content built without access to the people who know the subject reads exactly like content built without access to the people who know the subject.
That is our preferred arrangement. Roughly half our engagements are with clients who already have writers and need strategy, governance and distribution rather than more words.
You do, on final payment. Copy, video, source files, project files, everything. We keep the right to show finished work in our portfolio unless you would rather we did not, which is fine and reasonably common.
Per project for defined pieces of work, or on a monthly retainer for ongoing programmes. Retainers are the more common arrangement because content compounds and short engagements rarely have time to prove anything.
Two things, honestly. Clients who need volume above everything — we are not the cheapest per word and never will be. And engagements where nobody internally can commit expert time, because that produces generic work no matter who writes it.
Still unanswered?
Send the question over. We reply to everything within one working day, and if the answer is “you do not need an agency for that” we will say so.
Ask us directlyOne email a month. Whatever we learned that actually moved numbers.
No round-ups, no “10 tips”. One teardown of a real campaign — what we tried, what flopped, what the data said afterwards.
